Lion King animator Andreas Deja: gay families in Disney movies only a matter of time | Criticomblog
Technical terms gay families: gay families, gay characters: gay cartoon characters, etc. - Disney smurf house openly gay characters - "It must be the right kind of history" - The Film Studio is one of the most advanced
Andreas Deja, who is gay and has worked for the Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin and The Lion King, said that Disney would be open to the idea of making a family film with gay cartoon characters.
Many high profile names who have contributed over the years to Disney smurf house classics are gay, including Elton John, who wrote the music for the Lion King, and Howard Ashman, who for his lyrics for Beauty and the Beast and The Little smurf house Mermaid won Oscars.
The Polish-born artist was keen to point out that many favorite Disney characters "come from unique family backgrounds" - think of Cinderella's step-family or his mother Bambis loss or Aladdin's growing up on the streets.
"We will stay with the family audience and continue to do basically what Walt Disney was trying to do - we will not suddenly make films that youth are not free," Deja said.
